If you are not in Puerto Natales, you can check the tour’s availability and price from El Calafate.
We will meet in our meeting point to start a 5 hour and a half trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina. After the formalities in Don Guillermo border crossing, the guide will board the bus in El Calafate o continue the road to the Los Glaciares National Park.
The visit to the park will be of 1 hour and a half, in which you can tour the walkways in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. You will visit several lookout points and, if you are lucky enough, you will see ice calving from more than 70 m. In addition, there is the option of going over the walkways for 30 minutes and take the 1-hour navigation in front of the glacier (not included). The navigation will be possible only if there a confirmed departure and with availability when visiting the place, if the weather conditions allow it, and if there are no delays in the border crossing.
You will be able to make this tour in one of the following ways:
1. Full day (considers 11 hours of bus trip, in a single day)
- Tour with round trip transport from the meeting point in Puerto Natales on the same day.
- Prices: CLP$ 90.000 for adult and infants aged 0 to 2 (without chair) for free.
- Times: departure at 6:45 am and return at 10:00 pm.
*Option available until May 15th and from September 16th, 2024.
2. Return in another date
- Transport from the meeting point in Puerto Natales, with tour to the Perito Moreno Glacier, and drop off at your accommodation in El Calafate.
- Return from El Calafate Bus Station to Puerto Natales Bus Station, in some day chosen by the passenger.
- Prices: CLP$ 119.000 for adult and infants aged 0 to 2 (without chair) for free.
- Times: departure at 6:45 am and return from and El Calafate Bus Station on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4:30 pm, arriving to Puerto Natales at 10:00 pm, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8:00 am, arriving to Puerto Natales at 2:00 pm.
- If you select phis option, remember indicating us your return date in the “Additional comments” box that will appear during the booking process.

3. Return the next day
- Transport from the meeting point in Puerto Natales, with tour to the Perito Moreno Glacier, and drop off at your accommodation in El Calafate.
- Return from your accommodation in El Calafate to Puerto Natales, the next day after the tour started.
- Price: CLP$ 90.000 for adult and infants aged 0 to 2 (without chair) for free.
- Times: departure at 6:25 am and return from El Calafate the next day at 10:00 am.
*Option available from May 16th until September 15th, 2024.
*For the tour it is mandatory for all passengers of the booking that their travel document (id card or passport) be valid and in excellent condition (the chip and the QR code must not have any details, like being cracked or patched). In case you don’t fulfill some of these requirements, Denomades will not make any refund out of the deadlines established in the cancellation policy of the activity.
*The transportation times between Puerto Natales and El Calafate, as well as the total duration of the tour, are subject to change according to the time that takes the customs formalities. Because of that, do not buy tickets, under any circumstance, to leave Puerto Natales during the night of the same day of the tour.

In what period of the year the tour is made?
The tour is made during the whole year, even though not all types of programs are available during the whole year. Full day and Return in another date are available from September to April, while the option Return the next day is the only one available between May and August. Depending on how the weather and the road conditions is, the available dates of one or another program may vary in some weeks, thing that you will see informed in the description and the final availability of the calendar.
Is it possible to end the tour in El Calafate without going back to Puerto Natales?
Yes, it is possible. For this you have to select the Full day option and you must indicate us your desire in the "Additional comments" box that will appear during the booking process.
It is necessary to have a visa to enter Argentina?
Depending on your nationality, there is a possibility of you need a tourism visa to enter Argentina. You can check if you need a visa or not, according to your country of origin in www.migraciones.gov.ar.
It is necessary to pay a reciprocity fee to enter Argentina?
Only if your country of origin is China and you are travelling with American visa it is necessary a payment of a reciprocity fee to enter Argentina, which you must previously make in www.migraciones.gov.ar.
If I am a resident foreigner in Chile, do I need passport to cross the border?
Only if you are a foreigner with permanent residence in Chile you will be able to cross the border showing your Chilean ID card. In case you are a foreigner with temporary residence in Chile, you must present your passport to cross the border.
When should I buy the park’s entrance fee?
You can buy the entrance fee to the park not later than the day before the excursion in https://ventaweb.apn.gob.ar/reserva/inicio, with debit or credit card, or with cash the same day of the tour.
Where can I buy Argentine pesos in Puerto Natales?
There are some exchange offices in downtown Puerto Natales, by the Arturo Prat St., near the church. If you have limited time, maybe it is suitable for you to exchange money before going to Puerto Natales.
What payment methods can I use to pay the entry ticket to the park and the Nautical Safari?
You can pay with debit or credit card or in cash, in Argentine pesos. Anyway, our recommendation is paying in cash, because there's not always signal in the port for the posnet to work. You can check the type of change o the day and to bring Argentine pesos from Puerto Natales, due to we do not make any stop for money exchange.
What type of transport is used for the tour?
The transport from Puerto Natales Bus Station to Los Glaciares National park is in a large bus or in a minivan (Sprinter type), depending on how big the group is.
How many bags or suitcases can I bring?
For the options of more than one day, in which you have to take some luggage for the days you will stay in El Calafate, there is no limit of bags.
What type of ship is used for the Nautical Safari?
The Nautical Safari is made in a catamaran with a panoramic deck, where you can go to see the Perito Moreno Glacier. The ship can change, but always will have a capacity from 60 people.
Is there any place where you can buy lunch in the Los Glaciares National Park?
Yes, there is a coffee shop inside the park, near the entrance to the walkways. You can buy snacks and drinks, and lunch for around AR$ 9.000. The payment methods available are cash and credit card. If you want to bring your own snacks and lunch, remember that these have to be packaged products and bottled water.
