Day 1: Santiago - Cancha Carrera Base Camp (8 km trek, 5 hours).
You will begin this Leonera Hill Expedition of high difficulty heading to Leonera Hill, located in the Andes Mountains, and just a few hours away from the heart of Santiago. Upon reaching the base of the mountain, the trail will lead you through rugged mountain landscapes, passing by Piuquenes Lake, and the Pintor Hill refuge. There, at more than 4,000 meters above sea level, is where you will set up camp. From here you can enjoy panoramic views of the city of Santiago on one side, and high peaks of the Andes on the other.
Day 2: Cancha Carrera Base Camp - Leonera Hill Summit - Santiago (17 km trek, 12 and a half hours).
The second day will start very early, as the goal is to reach the summit, at 4,950 meters above sea level, from where you will have truly impressive views, facing the imposing El Plomo hill and its majestic glacier. This expedition to Leonera Hill is a must for those looking for adventure and wonderful natural views just a stone's throw from Santiago. After having some time to rest, you will begin the descent to the base camp and then return to the base of the mountain where the vehicle will take you back to your hotel, ending this adventure.
