We will depart from Santiago toward the El Colorado Ski Center, where you will receive all the equipment needed for your chosen activity: skis, boots, and poles if you select skiing, or a snowboard and boots if you choose snowboarding.
With your equipment ready, you will take part in a 2-hour group lesson, where an expert instructor will teach you the basics to take your first steps on the snow. Afterward, you will have time to practice what you learned and enjoy the snowy Andes setting.
We will return to Santiago at the end of the day after experiencing an unforgettable adventure of learning, fun, and snow at El Colorado.
*Pickup is only in places near the main avenue of Santiago, Providencia, and Las Condes. If you are staying in a place far from the main avenue or in other places, write us at reservas@denomades.com to coordinate a meeting point.
*The return to Santiago will start around 3:00 pm.

Is it possible to rent snow clothing during the tour?
Yes. There will be a stop along the way at a specialized shop where you can rent snow gear. The complete kit (jacket, pants, boots, and gloves) costs approximately CLP $45,000 per person. Rental is optional and can be paid directly at the shop, by credit or debit card, or in cash (Chilean pesos, dollars, and reais).
What precautions should I consider due to the altitude at the ski resorts near Santiago?
The ski resorts are located at around 3,000 meters (9,800 feet) above sea level. At that altitude, some people may experience dizziness, fatigue, or headaches. To avoid these discomforts, we recommend:
- Staying well hydrated and avoiding alcohol or heavy meals before the tour.
- Not smoking before ascending.
- Getting a good night’s sleep the night before.
- Avoiding reading or using your phone during the drive, as the road has many curves.
