We will leave San Pedro de Atacama early in the morning to go to the Tuyajto Lagoon viewpoint, where we will enjoy breakfast in the middle of the Atacama Desert. After that, we will visit the Piedras Rojas viewpoint, place from where it is possible to see these red rock formations in the lagoon of the Talar Salt Flat. Then, we will go to the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons. We will see the landscape surrounding these natural formations in the desert landscape. We will have time also to visit the tropic of Capricorn, before going back to San Pedro de Atacama, where we will end the activity with a lunch prepared at the moment.

*From March, 2018, it is forbidden visiting by pedestrian or vehicular access to Red Rocks area. In the tour we will have a panoramic view from a viewpoint, located at a distance of 1 km, aproximately.

No. The lagoons visited in this tour are not suitable for swimming.
Which is the maximum altitude reached in this excursion?
The maximum altitude reached is 4200 m. For a good acclimation, our recommendation is to eat a light meal and drink lots of water the previous days to the excursion. Because of the altitude, we recommend leaving this tour for the end of your stay in San Pedro de Atacama.
