Restrictions:
minimum age required of 7 years old, not recommended for people suffering hypertension, heart failure, asthma or similar, for whom passing by places above 4000 meters of altitude may present a risk for their health (the transportation is made mostly above 4000 meters of altitude, even reaching 4850 meters of altitude)., weigh 100 kg maximum and not allowed for people over the age of 65.

The group or private transportation from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama to the city of Uyuni is available in the morning. We will take you to the Bolivian border in a minibus, and from there you will take a 4x4 jeep for 6 people that will make the rest of the stretch in Bolivian territory. In total are 8 hours of direct transportation until Uyuni’s downtown.

*Once booked, the service is confirmed during the 24 hours before the date you asked, according to the availability of seats.
*To make the booking you have to pay an advance of the total price of the program. You must pay the rest in cash (US dollars) the day before the tour, before 2:00 p.m., in San Pedro de Atacama.
*The direct transfer includes only one stop for lunch. It doesn’t consider stops in any of the tourist attractions located on the road nor the stop in the Uyuni Salt Flat. In case you want to visit the tourist attractions on the area, please check our tours to the Uyuni Salt Flat.
*The transfer is made in 4x4 vehicles with 1 or 2 available seats, so if you are traveling with a group of 3 or more people, you will go in separate vehicles. If you want to take the transfer with more people in the same vehicle, please ask for the private transfer.
*The pickup service included does not operate to nor from accommodations located outside the urban area of San Pedro de Atacama, accommodations located in ayllus near San Pedro de Atacama (Quitor, Yaye, Checar, Sequitor, Solor, and Coyo), nor accommodations in the town of Toconao.
Frequently Asked Questions
It is necessary to have tourist visa to enter Bolivia?
Depending on the nationality of the passenger. Passengers from Chile and the rest of South America, and passengers from Western Europe do not need tourist visa, while passenger that come from United States, Central America, Asia, and Africa do need tourist visa that costs U$ 160. This visa is obtained directly in the border, where along with the payment of the visa in cash, you need to present your passport and other documents. In case you are a foreign person resident in Chile, besides your passport, you need your ID card with you so you can prove your residence with the police authorities in customs.
How many bags or suitcases can I bring?
Each passenger may carry at most one bag or suitcase of 18 kilos and one sleeping bag, which will go above the 4x4.
