Day 1: Transportation to Torres del Paine National Park. The journey begins in Puerto Natales, where the bus will leave to Torres del Paine from the Bus Station at 2:30 pm. The ride lasts more than two hours, however, it will stop briefly in Cerro Castillo. You will arrive at the reception of the park in Laguna Amarga at 4:30 pm. Here you will be able to buy the entry ticket and then board the shuttles that will take you to the Refugio Torre Central, where you will stay.
Day 2: Mirador Base Torres Trek (13 kilometers, 7-8 hours). The day will begin with a 1 hour and a half trek to Refugio El Chileno. On the road, you will enjoy the beauty of the surrounding lakes and the hanging glacier of Almirante Nieto Mount, at more than 2,600 meters above sea level. When you arrive at the refugio, you can leave your bags and recover energy to go on with a 2 hours trek heading to one of the most spectacular places in the national park: the Mirador Base Torres. That night you will stay in Refugio El Chileno or in the Torre Central (confirmation at the booking time).
Day 3: Refugio El Chileno – Refugio Los Cuernos Trek (11 kilometers, 4-5 hours). The trek goes on surrounding the Paine Massif, walking by the base of the Almirante Nieto Mount. When you leave the Refugio El Chileno, you will go over for half an hour to get to the Atajo, track towards Los Cuernos. In the route you will see the local flora, the Nordenskjöld lake and the hanging glaciers. After 4 or 5 hours walk, you will reach your destination, Los Cuernos, where you can take the best photographs. At night, you will sleep in Refugio Los Cuernos.
Day 4: Trek to French Valley – Pehoé (25.3 kilometers, 10-12 hours). During this day's journey, you will have to hike 25 kilometers, so we recommend you to begin the trip at 8:00 am. The first couple of hours you will make a soft trek, having a beautiful view of the Nordenskjöld lake. The first stop will be in the Campamento Italiano. Here it will start a 1 hour and a half ascent by the French River Valley heading to the French Glacier Mirador. We recommend you to contact the Forest National Organization (CONAF by its Spanish acronym) staff to leave your bags and continue the route just with the essential things (water, warm clothes and food). The journey continues to the Mirador Británico, where you will see the most impressive scenarios of the whole national park: Paine Grande, Catedral, Aleta de Tiburón and Cuerno Norte. The return is through the same track to the Campamento Italiano and then to Refugio Los Cuernos or Domos El Francés (confirmation at the booking time)., shelter in which you will stay.

FAQ
- How much time in advance should I book the program?
Because the program is highly demanded, we recommend you to book at least 1 month in advance. If you want to know the availability of the program before paying, write us to reservas@denomades.com.
- Is this a group program together with other passengers?
No. Every passenger makes the program individually. The trek circuit is self-guided and there are no previously formed groups to which you can join. All park tracks are duly signposted, and before beginning the program you will have an explanatory talk about the circuit, and receive a map with all the details.
- Should the non-resident foreigners in Chile pay some tax not included in the program price?
No. In Chile there is a tax law to promote tourism that allows non-resident foreigners get an exemption not to pay 19% tax. For that, at the moment of the check-in in every refugio, they must present their passport and their immigration card (delivered by International Police at the moment of entering Chile). In case of not presenting this documents, the tax will be charged in cash (Chilean pesos) in every refugio.
- How is the infrastructure in every refugio?
All refugios have the same level of infrastructure. They have mixed gender rooms, with 4 to 8 beds each (2 to 4 bunk beds) and have heating 24 hours a day. Bathrooms are segregated and have warm water in showers and washbasin 24 hours a day.
- Is it possible to buy food or other items in the refugios?
Yes. All refugios have cafeterias and grocery stores where it is possible to buy food, personal hygiene items and objects for your trip, among other things. Paying methods accepted by the refugios are cash (Chilean pesos) and credit or debit card.
- Are there sockets available to charge electronic devices?
Rooms don't have sockets available. There are a limited number of sockets in the dining rooms, so they might be unavailable when you need them. That's why we recommend you to optimize the battery use and take external batteries with you.
- Is there Wi-Fi in the refugios?
Yes. The Wi-Fi service is not included in the program price and it is payed directly in every refugio. Depending on the speed and usage time, the price goes from USD$ 4 per 30 minutes.
- Can I cook in the refugio?
In all shelters, except the Refugio El Chileno, it is allowed to cook in the camping surrounding areas. These areas have the necessary facilities to cook; however, the kitchenware must be brought by every passenger.
- What are the transport options to go from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales?
There are different bus companies that make the route every day. To get to know the departure times you must check the information published in their websites (Bus-Sur, Buses Pacheco and Buses Fernández). Also, you can make the trip in a private transfer service. To check the prices of the private transfer service, write us to reservas@denomades.com.
