Grey Glacier Lookout Trek (2 days)

Program for residents in Chile: CLP$ 249.000 per person.

Program for non-residents in Chile: US$ 315 per person.

• Non-resident foreigners must present their passport and entry card to the country at check-in at each accommodation. If these documents are not presented, the guest must pay IVA (Spanish acronym for VAT) directly at the accommodation.

Once the online payment is completed, we will confirm your booking within 3 business days (up to 7 business days during high season), depending on accommodation availability. If we are unable to confirm the requested start date, we will offer you the next closest available date (usually starting one or two days later). If the proposed date doesn’t work for you, you may request a full refund.

• Transport:
  • Round-trip transport by bus from Terminal Rodoviario de Puerto Natales to the Torres del Paine National Park.
  • Catamaran from the Pehoé Area to the Muelle Pudeto.
• Accommodation in refugio, in shared rooms with bunk beds. Includes mattress cover, sleeping bag or sheets with blanket, and pillow:
  • 1 night in refugio Paine Grande.
• Hot showers.

• Entrance fee to the Torres del Paine National Park (CLP$ 13.500 for resident in Chile and CLP$ 46.200 for non-resident in Chile*).
• Connection transport between Laguna Amarga and Las Torres Area (CLP$ 4.500 for resident in Chile and US$ 6 for non-resident in Chile*).

*The box lunch is always provided to go, while breakfast and dinner may be either to go or served, depending solely on the meal availability at each accommodation (it is not possible to choose the format). Start: Day 1 at 7:00 am in the Terminal Rodoviario de Puerto Natales.

End: Day 2 at 4:30 pm in the Terminal Rodoviario de Puerto Natales.

Day 1: Departure from Puerto Natales, Pehoé Catamaran and Grey Lookout Trek (22 km, 8 to 9 hours).

The beginning of this activity will be in the Puerto Natales Bus Station to take the bus that will take you to Pudeto. In that place, you will board the catamaran to cross the Pehoé Lake, navigation that lasts around 30 minutes and that will give you the first views of the Paine Massif and the Cuernos del Paine. You will disembark in the Paine Grande Area, where you will start walking through a gorge, after what you will see the Grey Lake and the first images of the Grey Glacier. In addition, you will see the Nunatak, from where other excursions over the Grey Glacier starts. The same way, you will see the Cordón Olguín and the small icebergs detached from the glacier that float over the lake. After that, you will return to Paine Grande, where you will spend the night and rest.

Day 2: Pehoé Catamaran and arrival to Puerto Natales.

This day you will be able to relax a little bit with the times, but not too much because you must take the catamaran to start the navigation back though the Pehoé Lake. You will have the privileged views of the Torres del Paine National Park again, if the weather allows it, and you will reach the Pudeto area, where you will take the bus back to the Puerto Natales Bus Station, where the activity ends.

• 40-liter backpack for the entire circuit.
• 20-liter daypack for daily hikes.

• 1 T-shirt per day (ideally a mix of short- and long-sleeved shirts).

• Minimum age required of 14 years old to make the activity.
• Not allowed for pregnant women.

• You will be able to reschedule your booking without any cost or cancel it with full refund until 60 days before the starting date of the program, whatever the reason.
• Within the 59 days prior to the program start date (including bookings made 59 days or less in advance), no refunds or rescheduling are allowed, regardless of the reason.
  

There are no refunds no reschedule in case any of the following situations may prevent making part or the entire program: adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, fires, flooding, road cuts, accidents, strikes, demonstrations, pandemics, epidemics, flight cancellations, lost luggage, accidents of the passenger inside the park, and personal or health problems of the passenger. For passengers that have travel insurance (suggested), due to the impossibility to make part or the entire program because of the reasons described above and whose insurance policy covers the case at hand, we will provide the required documents to be presented to the insurance company.
