We will gather at our meeting point to start this tour of the Venetian Lagoon, stopping at three islands around the city. The Murano, Burano & Torcello Day Trip will allow you to get to know some of the neighboring villages, as well as their main sights and activities. On the island of Murano, you can learn about glass making with a visit to a furnace, where the manufacturing process will be demonstrated. Next, you will visit Burano, which is known for its colorful houses and the fine lace that is made there. Then it's time to visit Torcello, a tiny, scarcely populated island where you can learn about the history of Venice’s settlement. It is also home to the church of Santa Maria Assunta, adorned with Venetian and Byzantine mosaics. Afterwards, you will return to Venice, ending the excursion.
