We will begin a 20-minute trip outside the city of Ushuaia to the point where the Ojo del Albino Glacier Trek begins, a highly difficult and physically demanding activity. You will begin the 2 km walk along the same path that leads to the Esmeralda Lake, and then take the 5 km path to the glacier. This is when you will test your physical abilities as it is a fairly demanding uphill trek. You will reach the area where you will have to climb to reach the Balcones del Albino, from where you will have impressive views of the glacier and the landscape that surrounds you. After a moment of rest, you will begin the 7 km return to complete the activity.
This is a high-difficulty trek, recommended only for people with prior experience in this type of activity and excellent physical condition. The trail includes sections with steep elevation gain, loose rocks, and a technical climb to reach the viewpoint of the glacier.
This activity is not recommended for people with vertigo, as there are exposed high-altitude sections, especially during the final climb before reaching the glacier viewpoint.
