Itinerary
Day 1: Rurrenabaque – Boat Ride– Madidi National Park.
We will meet in our meeting point to start a 40-minute trip to visit the Villa Alcira community, where you will be able to know more about the jungle’s lifestyle. Then, you will continue a boat ride by the Beni and Tuichi rivers, where you will be able to see the Amazon landscape. Around noon, you will arrive to the Mashaquipe shelter, where we will be waiting with a fruit juice, and you will leave your things in what will be your room for the next days. After that, you will have lunch and rest, so then you can go walking by the tracks in which you will find a variety of wild animals.
Day 2: Walk – Nighttime Walk.
You will have breakfast early and set your things for the adventure: sleeping bag, sleeping pad and mosquito net. You will start a 5-hour walk in the middle of the jungle to the Patujusal shelter, where you will spend the night of this second day. During the walk you will have the chance to see spider monkeys, wild hogs, titi monkeys, howling monkeys and, besides, you will receive information from the guide about the traditional medicine. After dinner, you will have the chance to make a nighttime walk by the tracks. During the night, you have better chances to see armadillos, snakes, monkeys, or listen to the roar of the jaguar.
Day 3: Walk – Boat Ride– Rurrenabaque.
You will get up early, although probably you will wake up much more before that because the howling monkeys and the variety of birds that start singing very early in the morning. After breakfast, you will take your backpack to go to the Farallón de las Parabas, place where thousands of macaws and other parrots’ species gather. After staying there for a while and take pictures, you will build a rustic raft to go like the natives of the area, enjoying the surrounding landscapes. After 2 hours, you will arrive to the shelter for lunch and collect your things so then you start the return to Rurrenabaque, where the activity ends.
