We will pick you up at your accommodation to leave the city of Rio de Janeiro to make this Petropolis Full Day tour, city founded by the emperor Dom Pedro II, Brazil’s second and last emperor. On the way to the Imperial City, you will pass by a mountain landscape with panoramic views of the Sierra dos Orgaos National Park. In addition, you will pass by the Palacio Quitadinha, old hotel, and casino, famous during the 1940’s. You will also visit the Sao Pedro de Alcantara Cathedral, where lie the remains of Dom Pedro II. The same way, you will be able to visit the Imperial Museum, where there’s a collection of objects related to the emperor and the time in which he lived. During the tour by the city, you will see the Palacio de Cristal and the Casa Santos Dumont (optional visit, entrance fee not included). Then, you will have some free time to go by the Rua Teresa or make a tour by the Cervejaria Bohemia, where you can know about the Brazilian beer production process. Later, you will return to Rio de Janeiro, where the activity ends.
