You will begin this Cape Froward Navigation & Cruz de los Mares Trek departing from Punta Arenas to travel to Agua Fresca Bay, where the base camp is located. We will pick up our equipment to continue the route to Carrera Bay, from where the navigation through the Strait of Magellan begins.
The route continues through incredible landscapes with evergreen forests and mountains. You will pass Cape San Isidro, Eagle Bay, Indian Bay, and San Nicolás before reaching Cape Froward, the southernmost point connected to the American continent.
Once there, you will embark on a high-intensity trek to Cruz de los Mares, located at an altitude of 340 meters. The hike takes approximately two hours to ascend and two hours to descend, covering 4 km. From the highest point, you will have an unforgettable view of the end of the continent, where you can rest for a moment and take photographs. Afterward, you will begin the return journey to complete the activity.
