We will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning to head towards the port of Puno, where we will begin this Premium Uros and Taquile Islands tour. The first place of visit will be Taquile Island, where we will explore its least visited part. We will hike on a Pre-Inca trail where we will get superb views of Lake Titicaca and the island itself. We will also visit families who live in this place and we will see their textile work, which are well-known handicrafts in the region.
Afterwards, we will sail to Llachón at the tip of the Capachica Peninsula, where we will be welcomed by a community who will show us some of their traditions that they have preserved up until the present day. They will prepare a pachamanca themselves, which involves cooking meat, fish, and potatoes in “ovens” under the ground with hot stones. After enjoying lunch and having a free moment to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, we will board the boat again to visit an authentic floating island of Uros, even farther away from the city of Puno. Here we will learn about the life of this people that lives on the lake, and we will get the chance to take a short sail in a totora raft. After this, we will board our boat to start the return trip back to the city of Puno to end our activity.
