You will begin this tour in the Plaza de Armas of Puerto Montt, where you will visit the Monument to the German Colonists, dedicated to the first German settlers who arrived to the region at the end of 1852. After that, from the Manuel Montt Viewpoint, you will be able to see a panoramic view of the city, the Tenglo Island and the Seno del Reloncaví, an extensive body of water located in the Pacific Ocean. Then you will visit the picturesque Caleta de Angelmó, famous for its craft shops and the fishermen's cove where you can find a wide variety of local products. You will continue the tour to the beautiful city of Puerto Varas, also known as “City of Roses”, located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, with views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Here you can see the Plaza de Armas, its patrimonial neighborhood and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which has a neo-Romanesque style with baroque elements. It was built between 1915 and 1918 and its design is based on the churches of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
*If your accommodation is an Airbnb or at the Hotel Casa Azul, we will have to set a meeting point to start the tour, because the pick-up is not possible in this type of accommodation.
*The end time of this activity might be modified because the number of passengers during January and February is bigger than the rest of the year. Because of that, our recommendation is to buy tickets to leave Puerto Varas at least 5 hours after the end of the tour or leave your trip for the day after the tour.
