We will pick you up to go to Pargua to board the ferry and cross the Chacao Channel. That’s how this Ancud, Dalcahue & Castro Tour begins, with the navigation in which, if the weather permits, we will be able to visit the deck and see the surrounding landscape, in which there are sea lions and pelicans. We will dock in Chacao to continue the route to Ancud, where we will visit the San Antonio fort, built at the end of the 18th century, one of the last Spanish fortifications in Chile. Also, we will get to know some patrimonial churches, the Main Square and the Mercado Municipal (Municipal Market). After that, we will continue to Dalcahue, town in front of the Quinchao Island, which has a traditional food market of palafitos (palafittes), houses mounted in stilts along the water’s edge. We will visit the craftwork fair and we will see the Nuestra Señora de Dolores church, declared World Heritage. Then, we will continue towards Castro, the capital of the Chiloé Island. We will stop to take some pictures of the Pedro Montt palafittes, we will visit the San Francisco church in front of the square of the city and the craftwork market. In the Gamboa viewpoint we will look the city for the last time.
*The starting and end time will change according to the beginning point chosen for the tour, whether it be Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt.
*If you select Puerto Montt as the starting point of the tour, remember that we can pick you up only from the downtown hotels.
*If your accommodation is an Airbnb, we will have to set a meeting point to begin the tour, because the pickup is not made in this kind of places.
