We will begin by traveling to Pargua to board the ferry across the Chacao Channel. In Chacao, you will admire traditional wooden houses made of alerce, a hallmark of Chilote architecture.
Next, we will continue to Ancud, where you will visit the historic San Antonio Fort, a late 18th-century Spanish fortification. You will also explore heritage churches, the Main Square, and the Municipal Market, where you will discover the traditions and daily life of the Chilote culture.
Finally, we will head to the Puñihuil Penguin Colonies, a natural sanctuary home to Humboldt and Magellanic penguins, as well as a variety of seabirds that enrich this unique ecosystem.
We will conclude by returning to Puerto Montt, carrying with us the beauty of Chiloé’s history, traditions, and wildlife.
