We will pick you up at your accommodation in Naples to start this Pompeii and Sorrento Day Trip. You will travel to Pompeii, the ancient Roman city located in Campania, on the shores of the Gulf of Naples. In Roman times Pompeii was a very important and populated port, full of public and private buildings. On October 24, 79 AD, Pompeii and its approximately 20,000 inhabitants were buried by tons of ash and pumice stones during a tremendous eruption of Vesuvius. Here you will have the opportunity to see this ancient city. The tour guide will show you the most fascinating places such as the Forum, the thermal baths, Lupanare, the Greek theater and the casts of the bodies of the people of Pompeii buried by ash during the eruption. After the tour you will have a break for lunch and then you will continue your trip to Sorrento. On this trip along the coast you will be able to see the medieval castle in Castellammare di Stabia, the charming small beaches of Vico Equense and Seiano, and the Mediterranean vegetation of these places. You can stop on a terrace in Meta di Sorrento to admire the bay and even the island of Capri. Finally you will arrive in Sorrento for a short visit to the old town. The guide will tell you about the most famous places in the city while walking through the small streets full of artisan shops until you reach the Villa Comunale, one of the places with the best views in Sorrento, here you can admire the beauty of the bay and Punta Campanella and take photos of the beautiful scenery.
