Tour a winery built in 1887 on this Bodegas Carrau Guided Visit, and see its colonial house, the beautiful park and vineyard, which make it an ideal place to discover some of the best wines in South America, just minutes from the center of Montevideo. The Carrau family's winemaking tradition began in the region of Catalonia, Spain, in 1752, when they acquired the family's first vineyard. Since then, the Carrau family has been part of a small group of families in the world dedicated to developing a tradition, currently representing ten uninterrupted generations of winemakers.
If you choose the Traditional option, the visit includes a tour of the winery and tasting of 4 wines from the Juan Carrau Cepas Nobles and Reservas lines, accompanied by empanadas. On the other hand, if you choose the Grandes Reservas option, the visit includes a tour of the winery and tasting of the Grandes Reservas lines, including the most recognized wine, Amat, accompanied by empanadas and cheeses.
