The Grutas de Garcia are a group of caves located in the municipality of García, Nuevo León, Mexico, about 30 km northwest of Monterrey. With this tour, you will admire the various stalactite and stalagmite formations during a 45-minute tour inside, which also includes a cable car ride of over 200 meters.
Inside Las Grutas, there are several impressive balconies from which you can observe the formations, millions of years old, some of which are still growing. The most famous formations are named El Mirador de la Mano (The Lookout Point of the Hand), Salón del Aire (The Air Hall), La Octava Maravilla (The Eighth Wonder), El Nacimiento (The Nativity), La Fuente Congelada (The Frozen Fountain), La Torre China (The Chinese Tower), El Teatro (The Theater), and El Árbol de Navidad (The Christmas Tree).
After completing the tour of the caves, you will learn a little more about García Nuevo León, heading to its historic center where you will have the option to eat a typical dish (not included) and enjoy the northeastern architecture that characterizes this municipality. Finally, you will return to Monterrey.
