We will gather at our meeting point to begin this Milan Cathedral and Its Rooftop Guided Tour. The Cathedral of Milan is a Gothic cathedral, its construction began in 1386 and ended in 1965. This cathedral is one of the largest churches of Catholic worship in the world. It is 157 meters long and can hold up to 40,000 people inside. The tour will begin with a description of the façade by the authorized English-speaking tour guide who will give you an introduction to the monument. Then, you will enter the Duomo and there you will be able to learn not only the history of the church, but also the history of the city and Italy. Your guide will explain the artistic and architectural features of the building, and its countless statues and stained glass windows. The second part of the tour will take you to the elevator entrance and you will go up the steepest part of the Cathedral stairs to reach the first terrace. The roof is a system of inclined and accessible terraces, with connected walkways and stairs. From here you can appreciate the impressive Milan skyline. Your guide will point out all the buildings you can admire from above, such as the dome of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the San Siro Stadium and the Martini Terrace.
