We will gather at our meeting point to begin this Milan Cathedral Guided Tour. The Duomo di Milano is a Gothic cathedral whose construction began in 1386 and finished in 1965. This cathedral is one of the largest churches of Catholic worship in the world, it is 157 meters long and can hold up to 40,000 people inside. The authorized English-speaking tour guide will guide you as you discover the Duomo. You will be able to appreciate the gold-plated statue of the Madonnina, also known as the “Little Virgin Mary”, which is located at the top of the Cathedral. As you walk through the cathedral you will discover not only the history of the church, but also the history of the city and Italy, from the artistic and architectural features of the building to its countless statues and stained glass windows.
