Presidente Figueiredo is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Amazonas, specifically in the northern region of the country, 107 kilometers north of Manaus. Here, you will find the Gruta do Refúgio do Maruaga, a cave located deep in the pristine rainforest and teeming with wildlife. In the caves, if you are lucky, you might see fish, amphibians, caimans, turtles, and several species of bats. The cave entrance is located at km 7 of the Presidente Figueiredo – Balbina highway.
