Start: Day 1 at 1:30 pm in Puerto Fluvial of Leticia.

End: Day 5 at 9:30 am in Puerto Fluvial of Leticia.

Day 1: Leticia – Puerto Nariño.

We will meet in our meeting point in the Puerto Fluvial to start the boat navigation through the Amazon River. On the way you will start to see the landscape in which you will be for the next days. You will reach Puerto Nariño, place that still is inhabited by indigenous ethnic groups, and there you will have guided visits to different tourist attractions, where you will be able to see the green landscapes of the Amazonia, the life of its permanent inhabitants, and the architecture of the place. After dinner in the accommodation, you’ll put on the rubber boots and take your headlamp to explore the night jungle of Puerto Nariño. You will end the day going to rest.

Day 2: Puerto Nariño – Maloka Ticuna – Lake Tarapoto.

You will get up early to have breakfast and then visit the Maloka Ticuna community. Thanks to the local families you will know their rituals, and you will have the possibility to participate in games and a painting workshop, with materials extracted from plants. You will have a traditional lunch and then a boat ride by the Lake Tarapoto wetlands, journey in which it will be possible to see crocodiles, piranhas, and river dolphins, if you are lucky. The last outdoor activity of the day will be watching the sunset from the river. Then, you will have dinner and go to rest in the accommodation.

Day 3: Lake Tarapoto – Amacayacu National Park.

You will start the day at dawn, with views of the Lake Tarapoto wetlands. You will have breakfast to have energy and go back to Puerto Nariño, where you will cross the jungle through a track with wooden bridges. After 3 hours walking, you will arrive to San Martín de Amacayacu. There you will have a traditional lunch and you will know more about the lifestyle of the community inhabitants. You will spend the night in this community.

Day 4: Amacayacu National Park – Mocagua.

As usual with this tour, you will start the day very early with the breakfast and then you will make a canoe navigation to the Amacayacu National Park, where you will recognize the Amazon landscape with its varied animal and vegetal species. You will arrive to Mocagua, another indigenous community of southern Colombia. You will be able to enjoy lunch, so then you visit the Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary, apes rescue center. Then, you will go to the accommodation to rest.

Day 5: Mocagua – Leticia.

You will get up very early for having the last breakfast of the tour. After that, you will take your things and start the trip back to Leticia. You will be able to enjoy the landscape during the journey until end the activity.
