We will pick you up at your hotel to start the Mamalluca Observatory tour, located very close to the Vicuña city. We will begin with a brief introduction talk, and then move on to the observation with telescopes. In this part, we will identify stars, constellations and planets through manual telescopes, which they will teach us how to use. The observation will be accompanied by the guide’s explanation, taking advantage of one of the clearest skies of the planet to carry out this activity. Finally, we will enter to the observatory to use the high-tech telescope in the main dome of this facility. Then, we will return to La Serena city.

*To take the tour, it is a mandatory for all grown up people, having the pase de movilidad (Covid pass), demanded by the observatory.

*The realization of the activity is subject to optimal weather conditions.

*Because of health protocol to prevent COVID-19, the introduction talk will be made in an open space, there is no visit to the dome of the observatory and the access to telescopes will be restricted to small groups.

*The pickup is made only in downtown La Serena and in the Hotel Enjoy Coquimbo. After making your booking we will indicate if it is inside the downtown pickup area. If you are staying in Coquimbo or outside downtown area, we will set a meeting point.
