We will pick you up at your hotel in La Serena to go to the base of the Mamalluca Mount, place far from the city and without light pollution, so we can appreciate without problems one of the clearest skies in the world for the practice of astronomy. With this Astronomical Tour we will receive information as an introduction to the astronomy. Our guide, equipped with a laser pointer, will teach us how to identify objects in the starry sky, like planets and constellations that are million light years away from our planet. In addition, we will make observation through a telescope of 16, 20 or 24 inches that will allow us to see objects that we cannot see with the naked eye. After that, there will be a moment to make an astrophotography with the stary sky as background. Once we end the activity, we will return to La Serena.
*The astronomical observation will be modified during the nights with moon, due the amount of light. During nights of full moon there will be no astrophotography.
*In case you want to book this tour, but you are staying in Coquimbo, you have to be at Francisco de Aguirre Ave. and Pedro Pablo Muñoz St. at the starting time of the activity, except if you are staying at the Hotel Enjoy, where we will pick you up.
