Itinerary
Let's enjoy a walk in the heights with this El Choro trek of 3 days, tour that will take us by the Cotapata National Park and its landscapes with mountains and jungle, besides visiting the city of Coroico.
Day 1: La Paz – Challapampa
- The first part of the trip will be from La Paz to La Cumbre at 09:00, at 4,900 m high, which will be the highest point of the trek.
- We will begin the hike to cross the Cotapata National Park, which contains from high mountain landscapes to plentiful wildlife.
- Our way will be over the tracks made of stone by the Tiwanakota, culture previous to the Incas.
- We will arrive at Challapampa where we will have dinner and will camp for the next day.
Day 2: Challapampa – Sandillani
- We will continue the adventure with a 7 hours walk to the Yungas Region.
- Here we will cross rivers, and pass woods and jungle until reaching Sandillani.
- In this place we will spend the night in a Japanese family house that lives there many years ago.
Day 3: Sandillani – Chairo – Coroico – La Paz
- After breakfast, we will walk for 3 hours to Chairo, at 1,400 m high.
- Lunch.
- We will continue our way in a bus to Coroico, at 1,800 m high.
- In Coroico we will be surrounded by nature and will be able to go over the place for a while.
- Then, we will return to La Paz, where we will end the activity at 6:00 pm.
