We will gather at our meeting point to begin this Medina of Fez Guided Tour. This is the oldest walled part of the city of Fez, which was founded by the Idrisid dynasty between 789 and 808 AD. On this tour you will see the rich history and architecture of this Medina and the guide will take you through the labyrinthine alleys to see some of the most beautiful buildings and places in the country. Among these you will find the Bab Bou Jeloud, known as The Blue Door; the Talaa Kebira, one of the longest and most important streets in the city; the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Islamic school considered one of the best examples of Merinid architecture; Qarawiyyin University, an Islamic university and mosque; the markets with different artisan products; the bridge between the neighborhoods of Al Qarawiyyin and Al Andalus; among others.
