Let's live the adventure with this Argentino Lake and Frías Hill 4x4 tour, following the tracks inside the farms and recognizing the Patagonian landscape with privileged views of the lake and some archaeological sites.

Itinerary:

  • We will leave El Calafate in a Land Rover Defender, going over 5 kilometers of paved path.
  • We will cross a gate to begin the adventure by the tracks of gravel inside the farms, towards Argentino Lake's shore.
  • We will pass by the typical Patagonian steppe, in which we will find snow, coirones (Festuca gallicima) and calafate bushes (Berberis mycrophilla).
  • We will go on by the frozen lagoons and cross the Centinela River.
  • Also, we will go up to the highest point of the Frías Hill, at 300 meters above sea level, from where we will have a panoramic view of the cliff that ends in the lake and some archaeological sites.
  • Then, we will go downhill by the dunes to the beach.
  • We will arrive in a place in the Centinela riverside protected by plants and bushes, where we will enjoy an afternoon snack.
  • After eating next to the stove, we will return by another track and go over 10 kilometers of paved path to El Calafate.
