We will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning to go from Cusco to the south. We will travel around 3 hours to the Pitumarca community, from where we will start our 5 miles trek. In our way, one of the four that reach Waqrapukara, we will be able to identify the flora of the place. Once we get to the highest part, we will take a break so then we can continue to Waqrapukara, at 4,300 m a. s. l. Our destination, it is believed that is a first order sanctuary with a yet to be known political and religious power, and that we will have the chance of traverse to get to know its history and take photographs. Besides, we will have a privileged view of the landscape where this fortress was built. After lunch, we will go over the archaeological area before beginning the return to Pitumarca, where we will take our vehicle back to Cusco's downtown.
