Frequently Asked Questions

  • In what period of the year the trek is made?

The tour is made during the whole year, always subject to weather conditions.

  • It is necessary to use trekking poles to make the activity?

Because we are talking about a mountain activity, of medium-high difficulty, our suggestion is to go with trekking poles, although we know these are not essential for the walking.

  • Where do we can have lunch?

For the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain Trek, we will have lunch in a dining room of a local family, in a place called Cusipata, once we finish walking. The lunch includes salad, main course and juice. Remember telling us if you are vegetarian or if you have any food allergies writing at reservas@denomades.com once you make the booking.

  • What is the better time for the activity?

Although it can be made during the whole year, usually the weather is more stable from June to November, in which there are more sunny days. However, like we are talking about a mountain tour, there are occasions that the fog and clouds could make impossible to see the color’s mountain.
