We will begin early in the morning with the pickup at your hotel in Cusco. The vehicle will take us by Izcuchaca and Limatambo towns to enter to the Salkantay Route and get to the point where we will begin the trek. We will walk 1 km (0.6 miles) until arriving to the Soraypampa campsite, at 12,795 feet of altitude, where we will have breakfast. After that, we will begin the ascending trek for 1 and a half hours until reaching the Humantay Lagoon, located at 13,451 feet of altitude. Here we will be able to see the color variation, depending on the perspective that gives us the point where we will be located, besides the glacier as background that goes to the lagoon, if the weather allows it. After taking pictures and resting from walking at that altitude, we will go back to the campsite, where we will have lunch. Then, we will walk to our vehicle to return to downtown Cusco, where our tour ends.
*Entry tickets prices subject to change withut previous notice.
-
In what period of the year the trek is made?
The tour is made during the whole year, always subject to weather conditions.
-
What is the better time for the activity?
Although it can be made during the whole year, usually the weather is more stable from June to November, in which there are more sunny days. However, like we are talking about a mountain tour, there are occasions that the fog and clouds could make impossible to see the lagoon.
-
It is necessary to use trekking poles to make the activity?
Because we are talking about a mountain activity, of medium-high difficulty, our suggestion is to go with trekking poles, although we know these are not essential for the walking.
-
Where do we can have lunch?
For the Humantay Lagoon Trek, we will have lunch in a dining room in Soraypampa camp, once we finish walking. The lunch includes salad, main course and juice. Remember telling us if you are vegetarian or if you have any food allergies writing at reservas@denomades.com once you make the booking.

Reviews
Guia atencioso, excelente, transporte adequado, boa comida e motorista cuidadoso.
Excelente servicio y puntualidad
