We will pick you up at your hotel in Castro to depart the city for the town of Chepu, where we will take a 40-minute boat ride. Along the way we will see a sunken forest from the 1960 earthquake. We will also have the chance to do some birdwatching, because there are various species that can be spotted here.

Then, we will get off the boat on a beach and then hike for 20 minutes to the Muelle de la Luz (Pier of Light). From here, we will be able to get a view of the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. After resting for a moment, beholding the view, and taking some pictures, we will go to the home of a local family, who will welcome us with a lunch and tell us some facts about why some farmers have the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System seal (GIAHS). Then, we will start the return trip back to Castro to end the activity.

*If your accommodation is in the Rilán Peninsula, we will have to set a meeting point because we don’t make pickups in that area.
