We will gather at the meeting point to begin this guided tour of Berlin. Our Berlin Walking Tour will take you to the city’s most notable monuments and commemorative sites, showing you the history of this critical city of the 20th century. You will start the tour in the Nikolaiviertel quarter, here you will see the Museum Island and the Berlin Cathedral, and walk along Kudamm Avenue, one of the most famous avenues of Berlin and one of the most important shopping districts of the German capital. Next, you will see Humboldt University, the Royal Library, the State Opera, and you will get to Gendarmenmarkt, the most beautiful square in the city. You will also visit Checkpoint Charlie, a Cold War-era checkpoint and the most important checkpoint in the history of the Berlin Wall. Afterward, you will explore Potsdamer Platz, the former heart of Berlin and today a modern square and meeting point. The Sony Center and the Berlin Philharmonic are located near the square. The tour ends at Brandenburg Gate, a neoclassical monument from the 18th century, and one of the city's most important symbols.
