We will gather at the meeting point with the guide to head to the basilica, where you will begin your Sagrada Familia Guided Tour without having to make those long lines to enter. This genuine monument, properly called the Expiatory Temple of the Holy Family, is the second most visited Catholic church in Europe, after St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. As you explore inside, the guide will tell you about the history of its construction, which began in 1882, the architect Antoni Gaudí, and why it has been under active construction for more than a century. At the end of the visit, you can walk around the site on your own and also visit the museum, where there is an exhibit of drawings, scale models, and photographs about the history of the basilica, as well as the life of Gaudí. If you select the optional service, the guide will take you on the elevator up to one of the available towers, where you can enjoy incredible panoramic views of Barcelona.
