We will gather at the meeting point to begin this tour of one of the oldest and most emblematic neighborhoods of the city, where medieval tournaments and festivals were held between the 13th and 17th centuries. The Picasso Museum & Passeig del Born Guided Tour will begin with a 1-hour walking tour, visiting the Arc de Triomf and the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The Arc de Triomf was designed for the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition and is one of the icons of the city. Next, we will venture into El Born, one of the oldest districts of the city and part of the Ciutat Vella district. There you will pass by the Basilica of Santa María del Mar, an ancient church built between 1329 and 1383, which has borne witness to important historical events in the city since the Middle Ages. The last stop will be at the Picasso Museum, the only museum established by this famous Spanish painter, one of the creators of cubism, during his lifetime. You can admire the collection of more than 3,500 works and the most complete collection of his early works. When the tour is over, you may stay at the museum to explore on your own.
