We will meet at our meeting point early in the morning to depart from Ayacucho towards Huancaraylla. It takes 4 hours to get to the main tourist attraction in the area, the turquoise waters of Millpu. Once we arrive, we will start the hike along the edge of the canyon, where we can take in a panoramic view of the natural pools. The color is produced thanks to the sunlight, water, and minerals carried by the river. At one point on the trail, we will be able to go down to the pools to take better pictures. After this, we will reach the end of the canyon, where we will come across a waterfall that marks the start of the pools. We will also discover the “Millpu,” a pool originating in the depths of the mountain and from where the waters of the river spring forth.
We will return via the same trail, allowing us to get a different view from the one on the way there and to take pictures and enjoy the landscape differently as well. After ending the hike, we will have time to eat lunch before taking our vehicle to start the trip back to Ayacucho, where our activity will end.
*It is strictly prohibitied swimming in the Millpu natural pools.
