We will meet at our meeting point downtown to start this Premium Ayacucho city tour. We will begin with a visit to the Boza y Solís mansion right across from the city's Plaza Mayor. Here, we will learn about the history of its construction and important events that occurred during Peru’s independence era. Next, we will go to the Santo Domingo temple to take a tour inside and go up to the bell tower, where we will get a different perspective of the temple itself and the city.
Afterwards, we will go to the Santa Teresa temple. We will take a tour inside and be able to buy some of the products created by the Carmelite nuns who live there. We will also tour the Valdelirios boulevard and the arches of independence before heading to the Acuchimay lookout point, from where we will have a panoramic view of the city. From here, we will head towards the artisan workshops that are famous in Ayacucho, where we will be able to see loom weaving, embroidery, Huamanga stone carving, and Sarhua boards. After this experience, we will head back downtown where we will end our tour.
