We will pick you up at your accommodation in Arequipa to start this trip to the surroundings of the city. The Salinas Lagoon Salt Flat will allow you to know the Altiplano landscape of this area of southern Peru. The first stop will be the Volcano Lookout Point of the Chiguata District, where you can see the Misti, the Chachani, and the Pichupichu. Then, you will visit the town of Chiguata, where you can make a small city tour and you will have time for breakfast. After that, you will continue to Alto Simbral, at 4200 meters of altitude, where you can see the typical flora of that place. Then, you will reach the Salinas Lagoon, where you will be able to see the water mirrors if you make the tour between January and March, besides the local fauna formed by flamingos and llamas, among other animals. In addition, if you make the tour between April and December, you can visit the salt extraction centers and take amazing pictures.
The tour continues with the visit to the Lojen Hot Springs, where you can enjoy a relaxing thermal bath. As an optional, you can visit the Uzuña lagoon and dam, where there are different recreational activities (not included), like fishing and kayaking. Then, you will have time for lunch before returning to Arequipa, where the activity ends.
