Day 1: Arequipa - Volcano foothills - Base Camp.
We will gather at our meeting point to begin our journey to ascend the Chachani Volcano. The 4x4 vehicle will take you to the foothills of the Chachani volcano, this volcano, despite its considerable height of more than 6,000 m, has almost no snow on its summit due to the extreme atmospheric dryness prevailing in the area. After a climb of approximately two hours you will reach the base camp which is at 5,170 m high. Here you can eat and rest until the next day.
Day 2: Base Camp - Volcano Crater - Arequipa.
After breakfast you will begin the climb to the crater of the volcano, an ascent that lasts approximately six hours. Once at the summit, which is 6,075 m high, you will have time to rest and take photographs. Here you can appreciate the ancient crater and the surrounding landscape. After this break you will begin the descent to the camp and then continue to the transportation that will take you back to Arequipa.
