With this tour we will visit a series of lagoons inside the Atacama salt flat, Chile's largest salt flat. First, we will visit the Ojos del Salar, two deep freshwater wells in the middle of the desert, where you will be able to enjoy swimming. Then, we will visit the Tebinquinche Lagoon, where we will walk by its track to see the incredible views where the sky merges with the desert and the salt whiteness.
The tour continues with the famous Cejar Lagoon and Piedra Lagoon, surrounded by the green and yellow grass, which highlights the color of the water, while we see a unique landscape of turquoise waters and volcanoes. In the Piedra Lagoon, we will enjoy swimming with a flotation effect similar to the one in the Dead Sea. Finishing the day, we will enjoy an appetizer watching the sunset and a view of the lagoons.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the differences between the standard tour and the superior tour?
The main difference between the standard tour and superior tour is the size of the group. While the standard tour is made in group of 15 to 20 passengers, the superior tour is made in groups of 4 to 9 people. This fact increases the staying times in the places and reduces the waiting times to go from one place to another, considering that it is used a smaller vehicle. In addition, it improves the personalised service of the guide, giving more attention to the passengers’ requirements. On the other hand, the superior tour has a more varied meal service than the standard tour.
Is it allowed to swim in the visited lagoons in this excursion?
Swimming is only allowed in Piedra Lagoon and Ojos del Salar. Swimming is forbidden in Cejar Lagoon and in Tebinquinche Lagoon.
How far in advance should I book the tour?
We receive bookings until 48 hours in advance. However, we have limited spaces and always are subject to availability, so our recommendation is to make the booking as far in advance as possible.
What days of the year can I make this excursion?
This excursion can be made every day of the year, except for January 1 and December 25.
What kind of vehicles are used in this tour?
The vehicle will depend on the size of the group, having a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (or similar) or a Volare (or similar).
Which is the maximum altitude reached in this excursion?
The maximum altitude reached is similar to the one in San Pedro de Atacama (2400 m), so you do not need a previous acclimation.
