We will gather in the meeting point to leave San Pedro de Atacama towards the southeast. We will travel for one hour, in which we will be able to see the color variation of the desert landscape. We will reach the entry of the Baltinache hidden lagoons, where we will be able to use the bathrooms before continuing the tour. We will follow the track that will take us by the five lagoons that form this wonderful landscape, of which only the first and the last one can be used for bathing. Due to the amount of salt that they have, you will experience the flotation effect like the Dead Sea. After having visited this tourist attraction in the middle of the Atacama Desert, we will begin our return, passing by the entry facilities to use thebathrooms and the showers, to clean the lagoons’ salt out. In the way back, we will make a stop in the abandoned bus and then we will see the sunset in the desert, before arriving to San Pedro de Atacama’s downtown.
How far in advance should I book the tour?
We receive bookings until 48 hours in advance. However, we have limited spaces and always are subject to availability, so our recommendation is to make the booking as far in advance as possible.
What days of the year can I make this excursion?
This excursion can be made every day of the year, except for January 1 and December 25.

Is it allowed to swim in the visited lagoons in this excursion?
It is only allowed to swim in two of the seven lagoons of Baltinache.
Which is the maximum altitude reached in this excursion?
